BUNDLE OF JOY AND PAIN

Tears rolled down his eyes as he heard the cry of his twins. It was their one year birthday and it was supposed to be a happy day for him. But alas! it was the other way round; it was the one year anniversary of her death!
What made his heart bleed the most was the fact that her death could have been averted but for the negligence of those "dumbas*" doctors. After letting her die, they made haste to save the twins thinking that would make him feel better, thinking it will cure the hurt. Now all he has left is his broken hearted miserable self and a set of baby girls whose cries serve as a constant reminder of her death.
It was all still fresh in his mind like it happened yesterday. Her screams on their way to the hospital, her lifeless as it was yanked off to the mortuary.
He had never loved any woman like Rebecca. After series of failed relationships and he was almost giving up on finding "the one". Then he met Rebecca at his usual "hangout" club. He could still recall how dead drunk she was when she triped and fell in front off his car. At first he assumed she was a whore and was about to push her away but then he saw this pain in her eyes and developed this strange sympathy for her. He took her to his house, bathed her and put her to sleep on his own bed even though she was a complete stranger. That was were the whole chemistry began. By the next morning, she was back to her senses. Tears rolled uncontrollably from her eyes as she narrated her ordeal to him. She just got fired at her place of work. She got implicated by some illegal activities of some of her colleagues which she new nothing about. She went as far as sleeping with three of her bosses hoping it will help her save her job but they fired her all the same. So she too solace in the loud music and alcohol that night but it couldnt give her the relieve she needed.
He stared at her with some much compassion that cold morning. That was how their love story began. About 10 months later, they were married. In less than a month she had two lovely girls in her womb. Then night months later, the tragedy happened.
Now, its been twelve months of trying to get over her, twelve months of trying to move on but still, no progress. Each effort he made turn out to be "cold action". So sad. He knew this was beyond him.
"I'm going to visit a therapist tommorow" he said to himself as he made his way to his twin's room.d it was supposed to be a happy day for him. But alas! it was the other way round; it was the one year anniversary of her death!
